Example Configuration

The PT-PFS400-10N Smart PoE Switch is designed to provide reliable network connectivity and power supply through Ethernet cables. It can be used in various network environments such as offices, surveillance systems, and enterprise networks.

In a typical configuration:

• The Internet connects to a Firewall.
• The firewall connects to the Smart Switch.
• The switch distributes network connectivity to devices such as:
  • PoE IP Cameras
  • Wireless Access Points
  • PCs and Workstations
  • Servers
  • Other network devices

With Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, the switch can deliver both data and electrical power to compatible devices through a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation and reducing wiring costs.

LED Indicators

The front panel includes LED indicators that display the working status of the device.

• Power LED (Green)
  • ON: The switch is powered on.
  • OFF: The switch is powered off.
• Link/Act LED (Green)
  • ON: Port is connected at 10/100/1000 Mbps.
  • OFF: Port is disconnected or link has failed.
  • Blinking: Data is being transmitted or received.

These indicators help users quickly monitor the operational status of the switch and connected devices.

Rear Panel

The rear panel of the PT-PFS400-10N includes:

• Multiple RJ45 Ethernet ports for network connections
• DC power input port
• Standard port numbering for easy identification

Users can connect network cables to the appropriate ports and power the device using the DC input.
